Tattinger is my favourite champagne, far beyond the leagues of the Veuve & Moet. Smooth like the touch of a goddess, Crisp and Fresh like class. One fine day and by quite a chance I met Mr Tattinger himself. He said to me in the most alluring manner "My dear, here's privy to the story of true champagne..." And from then on I was spoilt.

In China Daily today, there was an article about this man named Richard Sears - an American who spent his past 20 years dedicated to learning and archiving Chinese Etymology through a website http://www.chineseetymology.org

From which after curiously searching for the origins of 车 and 人,I searched for my family name: 吴。

Funny thing is - in  the older characters all seem like its a human carrying a basket along. I wonder if it's something important, or if it means that we were originally a migratory family that had to carry their luggage around all the time.

Or perhaps it is the head that is dislocated from the body. Perhaps it is in my family name to be psychotic since ancient times? Or that we can perform magic by dislocating the head?

Tell me if you know
